Shoe York, Part 2

Continuing my story on my shoesploration in New York, after finding P Luca Milano I found my heaven.  I about had a heart attack, it's going to sound silly but I have never been into one of his stores until this moment.  I about got myself run over because I got so excited I wasn't going to wait for the cross walk.  It was Steve Madden and all his glorious babies my feet love to be in.

As soon as I walked in the store I was overwhelmed with joy like I had finally found my home.  I looked like someone that was seeing the statue of liberty for the first time.  I was hit with a rush of adrenalin and didn't even know where to start so I just stood there quietly letting my eyes take in all the amazing shoes and heels sitting before me on the shelves screaming my name.

Years ago before I was an avid shoe lover, I had a pair of shoes bought for me.  I opened the box and I can still feel the rush I had when I laid eyes on my first pair of heels.  They were Steve Madden and from that point on I became connected with shoes thus becoming the shoe lover and obsessive I am today.  Being able to see that Steve Madden shop in New York on my first trip and randomly stumbling upon it, was like fate telling me I was supposed to be there at that moment.  Walking in brought me back to the day I opened my first pair of heels that were also my first pair of Steve Madden.  I will never forget it.

I had an amazing trip that was guided by no one but me which is an experience I will always treasure.  Finding my own way through the hustle and bustle of the city and not really knowing where I was going.  Not being afraid to do it alone and taking on the streets of New York solo led me to many memories I never would have made otherwise.  I found another little piece of Sarah on that trip and found more than the inspiration I was looking for.  I love you New York and I will forever love Steve Madden!!

Shoe York!

Our friend and blogger Sarah just returned from New York ... or, rather, Shoe York! She loved it, of course, and has this to share with us:

Last week I was able to take a solo trip to New York which I was stoked about. It was my first time and I had no idea how to get anywhere or where to go but that was the fun of it all. When the opportunity presented itself I made it my mission to find fabulous shoes to photograph.

Only problem was didn't know where they were and I was only there for 2 nights. I landed in New York in the late evening so had the cab take me straight to the hotel and decided dinner and bed was in order.

I could sit here and write all day about the overwhelming feelings you have when you first get into the city and see it for the first time in your life. There are no words for it. When I woke the next morning I decided after getting myself ready I would go and explore since it would be my only full day there.

So I headed out and walked around and after about an hour of walking around 7th ave. I decided to hit Central Park since my hotel was only 4 blocks from it. That park is seriously mind blowing and I had a great experience visiting it.

On my walk back from the park, mind you I was in 3 1/2 inch heel boots lol, I had it in my mind I was going to eat and explore the city more. After walking forever and being so far from my hotel I found P Luca Milano and let me tell you I am in love. Not only did I find some heels that were jaw dropping I found the boots of my dreams like they were made just for me!!! Here are my P Luca Milano findings that I just had to share with you!!

White Christmas

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, yes I am!  Who said we can't wear white after Labor Day.  It's a rule my friend and I refuse to follow, in moderation of course.  I think white shoes and boots can bring out the winter.  I went searching for an amazing pair of white booties, boots, and heels.  I wanted each to be unique and have that warm winter feel.  Searching for shoegasmic white boots and shoes is harder than I thought it would be but nothing will get in my way when I want something and I want all 3 of these!!!  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!

Omg!!! Winter, style, warmth, comfort, sexiness all mixed into one amazing pair of booties!!  It's the workmen's boot made over with the beautiful and stunning white lace.  They are screaming hot and sure to melt away the snow.  I can't get enough of this bootie, the minute I saw it I got excited and giddy inside like a little kid at Christmas time!!!

In elementary school, I remember every year my teachers passing out sheets of white paper.  We then would fold the paper in many different ways.  When we were done folding it we would be asked to cut holes on the edges.  When we were done and unfolded it, it was a cute snowflake and we would hang them all over the class room.  The metallic cut outs in this shoe remind me of that, a beautiful snowflake.  I absolutely love these, truly delicious!!!

For anyone living where it snows or gets really cold...These are perfect!!!!  I want them right now.  No other boots says winter holidays like these babies!  So gorgeous and classy.  I will dip my ice cold feet into these scorching hot boots any day.  My feet just beg to have them on and feel the warmth and softness while looking sexy and chic.
